have you ever chased something so much that what you ended up doing instead was distancing yourself from it. lately i've been feeling isolated from all that i love and it's as if everything that i do to try and reconnect with it ends in failure. at one point i became numb to my pursuits and running became the only thing i ever do. i don't know when it will stop, and i don't know where i will go, but now i can only chase, knowing what i'm after is far gone.
