Where does the concept that old players hate new players come from? If I may give my stance in this, I don’t think it’s true.

The rhetoric that new players are actively being pushed away by old players seems to have its merit but ultimately, I don’t feel as if it stems purely from the fact that they are new.

I feel as if behavior is often neglected from the argument when I personally believe it’s the only thing that comes into play here.

I believe the idea that old users hate new ones is entirely false and rather a cope to justify their bad or annoying behavior in hopes to not change it and rather pass on the blame to anyone but themselves.

I believe this to be true as users like me, Seya and a few others remain active to a slight extent despite being newer than the majority of the active playerbase. This doesn’t mean our, mostly my, behavior is the best, however it does somewhat eliminate the fact that new users are disliked for simply being new

However, users like EpicJohn or Umbreon haven’t stood the test of time, in fact, they are both disliked to a different extent, based on their behavior, not because they are simply new.

To conclude, I believe that the dislike against new players doesn’t come from the fact that they are new but from their behavior.

i think as mostly a new player (compared to the others) some old players are really nice and friendly, same with the new players. i don't think it matters how long someone has been on a platform for to make judgements, its about how they act.

Ekstromer had no part in the creation of this post, in fact, the idea of this post stems from the opposite. It comes from the idea that old players actively push away new players according to the aforementioned new players.
