This is something that crossed my mind: I am a HUGE word nerd and I love learning about the origins of words especially so! But I've not a clue as to where "Bopimo!" could have originated from.
Does anyone here know where it comes from? Even if not I would still be interested in hearing your guesses if you have any!
Does anyone know the etymology of "Bopimo!"?

well, "bop" comes from "To hit," and, eventually "bop music" became a music genre. Then, eventually, it became a word describing the act of dancing, and then a word describing something so good it makes you want to dance, and eventually being generalized into "this is pretty good."
As for the "imo" part, it's probably just some extra flourish, it probably doesn't mean anything, but it just makes it sound better/cooler/more unique/etc...

I think it comes from the fact that bopimo used to be a roblox clone back in 2019, and roblox clones have names that sound like prescription medicines (Finobe, luduvo for example), hence “Bopimo”.
iirc, in a random youtube video, a dev stated that the exclamation mark was added to the name because it makes it sound fun (i may be wrong about this).
