just wanted to share this cause i thought it was neat
if you stretch out a noteblock vertically to absolutely stupid lengths, the bouncy part of the collision starts to go much higher than where the solid part of the block actually is
i think this might be potentially better than using springs because noteblocks have a cube collision, which can make them easier to work with. they also seem easier to hide as they don't suddenly jump up jarringly when you respawn like with using a giant spring
and the sound distance property allows this to be combined with kinematics shenanigans without making the audience go deaf, which i especially think is cool
you can disable double jumps with noteblocks 2 btw

Good spring alternative but they are not joking about the size you have to make it I had to set the x height to 1000 to utilize it in a 42 high room

after testing a little 1000 disables jump for 200 below the hitbox
