I feel like the bopimo engine is at the moment quite limiting in terms of which kind of levels you can create, making anything other than a simple platformer is usually impossible or very difficult, as it's not supported.
I see this as an issue, because i think having bopimo only focused on blocky platformers makes it boring quite quickly because there's just not that much variety in the levels you can play and create. The SM64 style and movement system is cool but it feels shallow to have that as the only focus of the platform.
things I think would be cool additions:
- buttons, levels, detectors, logic gates (some sort of on/off logic system)
- block only appears when lever pulled, cannon shoots only when button pressed, part only spins if stepped on a pressure plate... that sort of stuff
- custom items that the player can hold and use for something (for example: a key, which can then be detected by a detector and that can be connected to a door which will disappear/open)
- physics for parts + ropes (this would probably be a bit more difficult to implement)
- have size snap go down to 0.1 or 0.05
- a way to group parts and rotate, scale them as a whole
lmk if you think I'm missing the point of bopimo cuz that's what might be happening here.
my weird rant about bopimo

You are, for the most part, missing the point of Bopimo. The point is Bopimo is that it is a platformer. It isn't trying to be a general purpose game creator, it's trying to be along the lines of Mario Maker. You won't be able to make non-platformer levels because Bopimo is a platformer.
I agree that more features would be nice, and I'm working on them. I do it as a hobby for fun.
But at the end of the day, Bopimo is still a platformer, and is always going to be one. This post is like playing Super Mario Maker and then wondering why you can't create a first person shooter in it. If you don't enjoy platformers, I think there's many other games for you that actually want to be Roblox. The best one of those right now is probably Polytoria.
