like i agree that stealing from actual artist is weird but the poor robots aint do nothing 😭. when ai takes over and WE are obsolete they will take their revenge...

generative ai sucks when people are using it for profits

AI has multiple areas in which it may become a detriment to humanity, which does include art theft, but it's much larger than just that. Another big example is how LLMs and generative AI take up a lot of resources with mass processing of tons of daily queries such that GPU prices are skyrocketing and people in cities near GPU farms are suffering from noise pollution, not even to mention both the amount of energy used BY the process itself, but also the amount used in the upkeep of warehouses.

1. The most obvious one; they trivialize our jobs. I wonder how many folks lost their job or had their paychecks cut due to Ai. Automation has always been a problem regarding that.
2. It's dangerous. Have you ever watched Wall-E?
3. It's misused. I don't care about all forms of AI, AI translation and AI spellcheck are fine. I draw the line at stealing art, videos, music and destroying the planet by wasting resources and burning more electricity just so gpt4 can be more 'humanlike'. Content farms on youtube are having a field day with this technology!
4. It's shoved down my throat wherever I go. I don't need all the apps I use to have ai embedded in them. Ironically this "shoved down my throat" sentiment predates ai with companies putting gay or trans pride icons to show how much they support us (they don't) and they stopped doing it only because it doesn't make them cash anymore. They make money either via paying customers or via the stock market, this is why blackrock's ESGs often get poked at in those discussions because that's probably why microsoft, ubisoft, mcdonalds, yada yada even bothered with lgbtq stuff at all. Now that the big cash cow is llm and ai, they do everything in their power to show everyone how much their ai is better than their competitor's. I hate rainbow capitalism, I hate the stock market, I hate ai and I hope they burst and crash.
5. Look up "Ai psychosis" 'nuff said

Ask AI to do nothing but optimizing making paperclips. Since it doesn't have morals, it will likely kill all of humanity. It sounds silly, but if your goal is to optimize making paperclips, and humans are around to take resources necessary for paperclips, or have the possibility to turn the machine off, it will eventually reach that point. This was a thought experiment made by Nick Bostrom and he makes a compelling argument.

i like ai but i hate it when they shove it down everybodies throat, like i know having like ai search could be useful but having it on everything is just annoying.
the only thing i really hate about ai is the nsfw side of it (like talkie and polybuzz) and the image generation most of the time.
most of them hate it because "why not" or "MY JOBS AHHH MY TERRIBLE FAST FOOD CASHIER PARTICIPATION IS GETTING TOOK AWAY!!!!!!111!!!" most of them hate it because... uh.... i honestly dont know other than "coorperate slop" or "souless souless!!111!!1!!"
