henlo am simples. i have some suggestion for bopimo, they might be bad but this is just what i think

1) i think there should be some kinda combat system. most platforming games have some sort of enemy in the obstacles to spice up the gameplay, and i think bopimo is missing some sort of enemy system. it doesn't have to include any scripting, you could just make a basic ai system, make a couple of enemies that people could place in levels (tho having them be customizable might be a challenge.)
1a) with that in place, you could also add pvp too which could bring people in who would enjoy something like.
1b) and with combat maybe add some weapons too.
also i dont know if this is in the game already.

2) in the play tab, i think there should be a "classic" or "hand-picked" section, with levels picked from the staff that appear on the front-page. i do see there is a featured system, but featured levels go away once they're obviously no longer featured; meaning some really good levels dont get to be on the front unless people are playing them. to fix this, the classic system should stay somewhat permanent, very rarely changing anything in the category (maybe like once a month or once every 3 months). i would include like the bopimo tutorial, and then a couple REALLY good levels. i think the main problem i have with the play page is the quality between levels varies wildly, and i dont even know how to complete most of them. that might turn off new players. and having classic levels stick on the frontpage encourages people to keep speedrunning levels to get better times, knowing that their time will stay on the front page and wont disappear after the level is no longer being featured.

3) i think yall should have a social media person posting on tiktok, youtube shorts, instagram about the game, maybe some updates, some really cool and also really funny levels, and like movement tips maybe or something. i think this game looks very appealing thematically, i think if i were scrolling through tiktok and saw this game i would definitely have my attention caught. you could also get some crossover with the r64 community who would love this game (orrr might hate it idk lol). it could really help bring some organic growth, and you can have the people in the discord like the videos when theyre posted to help boost it.

4) every month, you guys should have "level-jam" contest kinda thing where a theme is picked and players have like 3 days to create a level, and the best level's creator gets a cool hat. if not that, just some contests or somethin could help spice up the community

On the actual topic of the thread: yeah, these are good suggestion. Im not too sure about the PVP suggestions but other than that This gets my support.

I agree with almost everything, but from what I remember, PVP is in theory (when you hold an item you can hit an NPC with it) and PVP is short for "Player VS Player" and you're talking about PVC, which is short for "Player VS Computer", and that matters :).

The PVP one would be kinda fun. Sorta like a Sackboy a big adventure fighting system would be fun.
The social media one is dumb personally. It would be cool to see community made content on tiktok or youtube like animation memes or amvs, it shouldnt rely on a bunch of 20yos with twitter humour also firecat said some stuff about Bopimo staying niche or whatever
The levels page need to be redesigned but i feel like this is just another of those useless filters

Bopimo needs a rewrite the most right now honestly, both game and website (both are being worked on right now hopefully)

Why does the website need a rewrite? I think it could use a redesign, and some stuff like the ability to view the date and time of when comments and forum posts were made(right now the only thing you can see the exact date and time for are level clears), but as the site is right now I think it works perfectly fine
Unless theres a huge security vulnerability or the site was skidded(which I doubt) I don't see the reasoning behind a whole rewrite, at least not right now
