so until firecat pass/fails college and is available to fix Bopimo! controller support, i found a program that can do it very elegantly.
1. download AntiMicroX here
https://github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox/releases/
AntiMicroX is one of those programs that remaps keyboard keys to controller. but you can use it at the same time as Bopimo!'s built in controller support, only to help the camera problem.
2. Configure
Once you start AntiMicroX, it should have detected your controller automatically. All you have to do is click the buttons that are equal to what buttons you want to use for your camera, and bind them to the keyboard arrow key that corresponds to the direction.
I would recommend that you also set Zoom In/Zoom Out keys in AntiMicroX, as AntiMicroX will provide a smooth movement, instead of Bopimo!, which forces you to spam the button over and over.
Bopimo! does have some window focus issues with this, but as long as you keep the window focused, and your mouse inside of it, there should be no problems.
workaround for controllers

Firecat is already done with school and stuff and he's been working on 1.1.2 since a few days ago, just that it's taking some time fixing shader and adding buffer stuff
The full settings menu with cursors and controller should come in 1.1.x-1.2 (1.2 is the gizmos revamp + other building stuff with controller support for them)
