Why is this game empty but has lots of players?

My first day of playing this game I only met a couple of people online, but I look at the forums and comments of some levels and there are lots of people that play this game and I'm confused why I barely see anyone online.

that's because the games are all slop baseplates now from newgens that nobody wants to play because they suck. theres still like 10 active people who check up on the site but don't actually play, and all the mods quit along with two of the owners. so now it's just Isaiah who probably can't keep up with everything on his own. there is virtually no hope for Bopimo! unless Isaiah gets some staff or somehow learns to code or advertise.
the fundamental economic problem is scarcity. human wants are unlimited, but the resources available to satisfy them are limited. Bopimo! is the perfect example of this, so unless Isaiah gets some more resources, Bopimo! is done for.

Bopimo! has a lot of potential. it's a great game. but it will never go big time because the creators just don't have the resources to fund it. no staff, no money, no active playerbase (anymore).
it's simply scarcity and demand.

Thanks for the reply, it's sad that such a fun game is dead, but hopefully in the future it will get better.

If levels could be flited by block count and hides any level below the amount you input, I think that'd save the categories

I think Seya is referring to filtering out like levels that only have 30 blocks or so. If a level has less than 30 blocks it's most likely either a daily clear, a baseplate, or just a really boring short level.

Indeed, this would filter most of the levels.
But if players want to find levels within ratios of certain blocks you could pick in between those with absolute freedom.
As for filtering "good levels" everyone is biased and bound to hate levels anyway so why does this matter It's not like the community will have a massive recovery unless the foundation of the site operates.
Theres barely a reason to be good at the game for the community to even return to
It's just a novelty with no cool features attached
If weeklies had a recorded section of everyone's placement by the time the weekly's over and there's a section in your profile displaying your weekly placements that would be cool
Speedrunning is the target audience of the community alongside creative world building and other things lack in reason to be done
Making cool weeklies don't store in your profile so there's nothing to show just it's featured it went a weekly and then that data is never stored you are no different from anyone else
It just feels like heres the trophy now what?

I did not proofread my message at all holy poor English you'd think I wasn't native
- No reason for speed runners or builders to build
- Nothing cool to be recorded during weeklies
- Rewards hats that are nice to have but having something permanent to your profile to record your history and achievements in Bopimo is heavily lacking
There is basically no reward being the best or an active creator is worth building for you just gain a little respect in the community.
I like the premise and the design in the game, but it heavily lacks things that most people would care about It's why it's hit such a nosedive so very quickly
Like having a frame with the weeklys number on the level is such an easy thing to add but feels like you had something cool done in the platform then your weekly is over forget this asap

Would the game ever get more active from the changes I mentioned?
hell no this isn't the type of game meant to be a hangout game
Theres a community but community projects aren't worth it
If the categories (are hate to mention it) but more like Roblox finding more good levels would be possible
A Players activity section up top if you input block value limits it hides the games people are in shows them in order to your filter and if a player is in it pushes it to the front of the list
Below that section is most highly rated of this month
Below that Is Highest rated overall best rated level put up top
Highest difficulty rating - Rating and bonus to push it to the top if top players rate it higher in difficulty
The problem with the site is lack of proper assess ability and promoting the good levels
Nothing really is really cool by beating levels you don't get a star border for completionist of all the levels you beat
If you beat a level a border could show up displaying 3rd in bronze 2ed in silver 1st in gold and etc.
Viewing your completed levels could also list your placements to you can retain top positions and others can view it too
There are so many little additions for a speedrunning kind of game they never implemented that would have the community excited to progress to
And little reward to contributing
