I played brick hill, never touched it for like 2 years, came back to my account being banned for no reason, and then the website got deleted
So
does anyone remember Brick Hill?

brick hill... unlike those fakers, i do remember and miss the site dearly.
i found out about it back in april 2021, and played it pretty actively until its shut down in july 2023 as NotSalpimenta. when i first joined, it was mind blowing, like, genuinely amazing, it also helped that i was 12 at the time, and it hadn't even been a year since i properly began dwelling on the internet as a whole, so seeing something so unique and stylish as it was very jolly.
oh, do i miss the site lots... yes, the community was not the best, and it did have quite the moderation problem, i do recognize those flaws, but the events... oh man the events, the ARGs... it made everything so worth it at the end of the day. the raw SOUL of the website, it wasn't like any other... they try to frame poly as "new brick hill" but it just isn't that. brick hill wasn't a bleak-looking economy and forum simulator.
curses be to alexander kyle dunn, who, even with his reputation totaled, refused to let his crusty filthy hands off the site. it had such a bright future, he did not, he likely felt jealousy and decided to take it down with him. its incredibly bitter.
tl;dr... man, it was cool. despite its flaws, it was cool. very overhated as well. don't forget your roots.

lets be real it had some hype moments and charm but the hate is very much deserved. community and owners dragged it down pretty much from beginning to end, and while having a client at all was a big step up over other roblox alternatives (somehow), it wasnt very good. but i cant say i dont get the nostalgic feeling for it, as much as i wish i didnt. shame the new client never released and went down with the ship though (to my knowledge)
was it better than poly? i dunno i never used poly #lol
